The sculpture “Why people can’t fly” by Vasily Klyukin – the official participant of Burning Man.
According to Monaco based artist Vasily Klyukin, “Why People Can’t Fly is a work that I feel represents myself. I, much like most of us, have baggage, problems and worries that drag me down. Because of this baggage, I feel like I can’t fly, metaphorically. I’m being pulled down by my obligations and my inner immaturity.” The large scale sculpture is filled with plastic trash from 50 countries around the world as a statement to encourage people to reduce the consumption of plastic.
